The shofar I received is half-polished. That means half is polished smooth and the other half is natural from tip to base. This allows more thickness to the shofar and to me has a better sound and less vibration when blowing. I have several fully polished, which are nice, but I prefer the half polished as they look and feel better. I also got a small bottle of odor control to help with the smell. This is a natural horn, so it will have some odor till you get it cleaned out very good, but this one has a lot less order than most I have purchased.
