Our 1400 square foot condo has hardwood floors throughout and tiles in the bathrooms. I’m old school when it comes to cleaning floors. Give me a good ol’ mop bucket and big, stringy mop and I’d change out the water several times while cleaning to cut down on cleaning with dirty water. I remember when Swiffer first introduced the wet spray system. I was appalled because I didn’t think it did a good enough job as the mop bucket.Years ago I started with the traditional Rubbermaid commercial-grade yellow mop bucket on wheels along with their commercial-grade mop heads. But that system took too much space for storage. Then I moved to the O Cedar system, which is much smaller, but has its own flaws.The biggest challenge I’ve faced with traditional mop buckets is that our master bath has white textured floor tile, which is a nightmare to keep clean (we don’t wear outdoor shoes in there). I had to abandon the O Cedar system and get on my hands and knees because the O Cedar mop would get stuck on the tiles as I applied pressure to scrub the dirt.I needed something new that would save me time, reduce the aches and pain I had from scrubbing, and actually get my floor clean. And that’s when I discovered this little guy. It has changed my mind on the effectiveness of these spray systems over a traditional mop bucket. With this system I have found major benefits over the traditional mop bucket:1. I save a ton of time while mopping because I’m not switching out water.2. I don’t have aches and pains from cleaning the bathroom floor on my hands and knees.3. The floors dry much more quickly since they’re not as saturated.4. The floors are just as clean as they were with the mop bucket.While this system is great, there are some downsides for me:1. I’m 5’4”, and I find the handle to be a bit unwieldy. I wish the handle were adjustable so that I could make it slightly shorter, which would give me more leverage for scrubbing.2. It’s difficult to clean out the water reservoir. I use vinegar/water for the hardwood floors, and a heavy duty tile cleaner for the bathroom floors. When I’m changing out the waters, I have to flip the handle over the tub.3. It’s difficult to fill the water reservoir. This thing didn’t come with instructions, and I couldn’t find anything on Rubbermaid’s website. I couldn’t find a way to disconnect the water reservoir to fill it or empty it. Because the pole is so long, it can’t fit under my bathtub faucet, so I have to use the kitchen faucet by pulling the head out and filling it.4. I often overfill it. Because of the awkward way I have to fill the reservoir at the kitchen sink, it becomes difficult to see through the clear window to see how much water is in there.5. I don’t know what the reservoir is made of, and I’m concerned that over time the water won’t dry out and this will become full of mold.Despite the downsides, the upsides make this an attractive piece of equipment that will stay in my cleaning arsenal. I can only hope that it stands the test of time and will replace my old school methods permanently.This mop is wonderful. I have hard wood floors throughout my house and this does a great job of keeping them looking clean. Having the solution in the handle makes this easy and the pads are washable. This beats my Swiffer hands down!we own several house cleaning franchises and use these mops exclusively. these mops are used in 4-6 homes daily, in 6 years we have only had 2 break. High quality, ease of use, produce great results.I thought that I would have problems with a large rectangular pad on a much smaller trapezoid shaped head. No worries as it works perfectly, even getting under stoves and refrigerators.Everything works just right, but after some weeks of use the black strips (Velcro) in the bottom of the plate to hold the mop, are peeling off! So now it’s a hassle to peel of the mop pad, without peeling of the Velcro too! I thought about glueing in back but, for the price of the mop and the ‘industrial tittle’ I might just get my money back.I would say it’s more like a house mop, not industrial.FYI-Does not come with the quick connect Pulse Red Cap part# FGQ969L10000 only a screw cap. Crazy prices for the quick connect cap part . Did come with two blue pads. Inside the top reservoir you have to twist and turn the inside filter and remove in-order fill with your cleaning solution. The spray is not strong but suffices. More to come once in full use.No more bucket for me! I dampen my mop heads with water and put cleaning solution into the mop.Wow no more heavy bucket. Makes my mopping faster. Love it!Best mop ever !! Light weight , the head swivels. I can reach under my stove , I can even get behind the toilet !!The unit I received is an "new and improved" model. Basically the new design is that the bottom Velcro end caps don't pop out anymore, they're screwed on tight now, and Rubbermaid now gives you 2 mop pads with the unit. For household use, you will not need to purchase more mop pads since it already includes 2 and they should be enough for your average sized home. For a big commercial environment, you should probably order a few more... Great product!Tellement pratique et hygiénique! Using it for home use. Much ,much better built than household use microfiber mops. My only complaint is that you can't tell how full the reservoir is.
